Founders

Amitava Datta, MD & CEO, has been in the IT industry for over 20 years. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Wright State University, Dayton, USA. He specializes in large scale system design and enterprise automation. He was the Vice-President and Chief Architect in Siemens, Bangalore, for the company's flagship Healthcare Information System product, providing technical leadership to development teams of Siemens in different parts of the globe.

Anjan Basu, Director & COO, has been in the IT industry for over 15 years. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, where he worked in the area of image processing and signal processing algorithms. At Siemens, Bangalore, he was the Head of Development of a team responsible for the development of the leading medical imaging platform for Siemens global. Anjan specializes in the execution of large scale and complex enterprise application projects.

In April 2006, Amitava and Anjan decided to push their passion for creating products further by launching Ubq.

The Ubq Team

The management and development team consists of a good balance of domain and technology experts. The team has deep experience in enterprise solutions for healthcare, billing and accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems in general. Senior system architects bring in the technology experience required to build high performance and scalable systems.

The team understands that the key challenge in making a product successful is in its implementation and hence stay actively engaged with customers till they begin to realize the full benefit from our products.
