Collaborative Planning, Forecasting &
Replenishment |
|
|
-
In today’s
competitive market, when margins are
under severe pressure, many
organizations have found that a practice
called Collaborative Planning,
Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR)
brings compelling benefits. CPFR
integrates a company’s core business
processes with those of its business
partners—brings tremendous benefits.
-
CPFR, as
implemented in OutReach, ties demand
planning and supply planning into one
process. It enables sales team to arrive
at a secondary sales plan based on
monthly forecasted demand. For any
change in the demand, the supply chain
responds quickly by
replenishing/adjusting the inventory
throughout the supply network.

TWO
DEPLOYMENT MODELS OF OUTREACH ENTERPRISE |
|
|
|
I. Centrally
Hosted Solution |
|
|
|
OutReach is
hosted out of a central data-center and all
distributors access the system over the
Internet using broadband connections. This
removes the complications of maintaining a
local system installed at each of the
distributor’s location. The system
automatically switches to off-line mode,
whenever the Internet connection is not
available and automatically synchs to the
central database whenever the connection is
back. |
|
|
 |
|
|
|
II. Central
Sales Portal with Local Install at
Distributors |
|
|
|
OutReach can
also be locally installed on a distributor’s
computer. At a regular interval, typically
at the end of each working day, relevant
data is synched between the distributor’s
local system and central system. This model
works well in areas where distributors do
not have reliable broadband connection.
